Tami has been a product engineer with Bon Secours Mercy Health IT for 9 years, and has 20 years of experience in communications and design. Her passion is making technology intuitive, visually appealing, functional, fun, and measurable. After 13 years as a graphic designer in the wild world of advertising she is proud to contribute her time and talents to a health system focused on creating healthy communities and caring for people especially those who are poor, dying and undeserved.

In 2018, Bon Secours, a non-profit Catholic health system, merged with an equally sized non-profit Catholic health system, Mercy Heath to create a company with more than 50 hospitals, thousands of care sites, and 60,000 employees in New York, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, South Carolina, Florida and Ireland. With the 2 companies came 2 legacy intranets built on SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013 and the challenge to create a unified intranet with updated features and new apps offered by O365.

Two years later a dynamic team comprised of Bon Secours Mercy Health Marketing minds and IT innovators are well on their way to creating a united intranet built on SharePoint Online and collaboration sites in Teams. Tami Buckman, a product engineer with Bon Secours, will introduce you to the characters, reveal the plot twists, and share all the lessons learned from this epic migration tale including an unexpected ending that will inspire you to write a sequel at your organization!
